In July 2007 compared with June 2007, production of capital goods increased by 1.0% in the euro area and by 0.7% in the EU27. Intermediate goods grew by 0.5% in both zones. Non-durable consumer goods rose by 0.3% in the euro area and by 0.2% in the EU27. Energy gained 0.1% and 0.7% respectively. Durable consumer goods fell by 0.1% in the euro area, but remained stable in the EU27.
In July 2007, and among the Member States for which data are available, industrial production rose in fifteen Member States and fell in five. The highest increases were registered in Ireland (+14.4%), Slovakia (+4.6%) and Denmark (+2.9%), while the largest decreases were recorded in Portugal (-2.7%), Slovenia (-0.7%) and Estonia (-0.5%).

Non-durable consumer goods rose by 2.9% in the euro area and by 2.3% in the EU27. Durable consumer goods gained 1.8% and 3.5% respectively. The energy sector fell by 0.4% in the euro area and by 0.1% in the EU27.
In July 2007, and among the Member States for which data are available, industrial production rose in nineteen Member States and fell only in Denmark (-0.4%). The highest increases were registered in Slovakia (+18.9%), Ireland (+13.9%), Lithuania (+12.2%) and Bulgaria (+11.6%).
